About Us
The Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) was founded in November 2007 to help Asian heritage scientific and engineering professionals achieve their full potential. Organizations existed for other affinity groups - The National Society of Black Engineers, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and the Society of Women Engineers – and there was a need for a similar organization where students representing all of the pan-asian cultures could connect and support each other.
Rutgers SASE was founded spring of 2014 as the 56th collegiate chapter. Our vision is to strives to become the premier pan-Asian organization at Rutgers that harmonizes cultural diversity and professional development.
SASE is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, and contributions to SASE are tax deductible.
SASE Mission
SASE is dedicated to the advancement of Asian heritage scientists and engineers in education and employment so that they can achieve their full career potential. In addition to professional development, SASE also encourages members to contribute to the enhancement of the communities in which they live.

Rutgers SASE is a society geared towards uplifting its members towards a great success in both an academic and cultural context. We will empower young scientists and engineers with the skills necessary to thrive in a professional setting by exposing our members to networking opportunities as well as personal and professional workshops. Along with promoting cultural awareness and community service, Rutgers SASE will encourage team-building activities through collaboration and celebration of cultural diversity.
